On 25th October 2021 afternoon, the 46th meeting of the ASEAN Council on Petroleum (ASCOPE) was co-chaired by Pertamina - Indonesian National Oil Company and ASCOPE Secretariat with the theme “Recover Faster, Grow Stronger”, organized online for the first time since ASCOPE establishment 188bet vietnam 1975.

The meeting was attended by CEO of National Oil and Gas Companies/Heads of state management agencies on oil and gas of 10 ASEAN member countries, ASCOPE Secretary General, Coordinators of countries and 04 Heads of ASCOPE Subcommittees.

Being authorized by President and CEO Le Manh Hung, Petrovietnam Vice President Le Ngoc Son, ASCOPE member of Vietnam gave a presentation on Vietnam’s energy transition trend, Petrovietnam's strategies and solutions 188bet vietnam the context of the global energy transition and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.Speaking at the meeting, ASCOPE Secretary General Tran Hong Nam emphasized that natural gas should be affirmed as a key role 188bet vietnam the context of strong energy transition. Up to now, ASCOPE’s Trans-ASEAN Gas Pipeline Project (TAGP) has connected 6 ASEAN member countries through 13 gas pipelines with a total length of 3,631km and 9 LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) terminals with a total capacity of 38.75 MTPA. At the meeting, ASCOPE members exchanged specific contents on energy transition, towards ensuring security and sustainable development 188bet vietnam the region. 

Mr. Keisuke Sadamori, Director of Energy Markets and Security at International Energy Agency (IEA) presented an update on the global energy transition. He said despite the largest annual increase 188bet vietnam global CO2 emissions 188bet vietnam 2021, at around 1.5 billion tons, the IEA has seen a positive signal that global oil and gas companies are stepping up spending on clean energy with the proportion of investment capital increasing to 4% 188bet vietnam May 2021.
