Recently, in Hanoi, 188bet zokb Vietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (BSR), a member unit of Petrovietnam , held a signing ceremony for 188bet zokb EPC and PMC contracts under 188bet zokb Dung Quat Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project.

188bet zokb Dung Quat Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project is a nationally important project in 188bet zokb energy sector, and its investment policy has been adjusted and approved by 188bet zokb Prime Minister in accordance with regulations. With a total investment of approximately VND 36,397 billion (equivalent to USD 1.489 billion), 188bet zokb project aims to increase 188bet zokb refinery's processing capacity from 148,000 to 171,000 barrels of crude oil per day, while also improving 188bet zokb processing capabilities of various crude oils, producing fuels that meet Euro V standards, and enhancing  's operational efficiency in 188bet zokb context of 188bet zokb energy transition.

According to 188bet zokb plan, 188bet zokb project will be implemented within 37 months from 188bet zokb effective date of 188bet zokb EPC contract and is expected to be operational in 2028. This is considered a strategic step to enhance BSR's competitiveness and increase its adaptability to new demands of 188bet zokb energy market.

Speaking at 188bet zokb ceremony, BSR General Director Nguyen Viet Thang said that 2026 is a particularly significant year as 188bet zokb country enters a new phase of development in accordance with 188bet zokb spirit of 188bet zokb 14th National Congress Resolution of 188bet zokb Party. In 188bet zokb context of 188bet zokb strong energy transition trend, increasingly stringent environmental standards, and growing competitive pressure, 188bet zokb implementation of 188bet zokb Dung Quat Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project not only meets immediate development requirements but also lays 188bet zokb foundation for BSR's long-term development.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang emphasized that 188bet zokb project is not simply aimed at increasing processing capacity, but also at creating conditions for 188bet zokb factory to gradually transform towards a modern, green, and sustainable direction. 188bet zokb application of advanced technologies will contribute to improving resource efficiency, reducing emissions, and aligning with 188bet zokb national energy development orientation as well as Vietnam's green growth goals.

To implement 188bet zokb project, BSR mobilized numerous consulting firms and leading technology suppliers worldwide . 188bet zokb Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) was carried out by Foster Wheeler (WOOD Group - UK). Previously, BSR also signed a Project Management Consulting (PMC) contract with Foster Wheeler to support management and supervision throughout 188bet zokb project implementation.

188bet zokb signing ceremony also demonstrates 188bet zokb commitment of state management agencies, 188bet zokb Quang Ngai provincial government, Petrovietnam, BSR, and domestic and international partners to one of 188bet zokb largest industrial projects in Vietnam today.

Upon completion, 188bet zokb Dung Quat Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project will contribute to enhancing domestic crude oil processing capacity, ensuring a supply of high-quality fuel, increasing adaptability to fluctuations in 188bet zokb international energy market, and creating momentum for 188bet zokb development of 188bet zokb Dung Quat Economic Zone and 188bet zokb Central region. 188bet zokb project also contributes to realizing 188bet zokb goal of making Dung Quat a national petrochemical and energy center, further affirming 188bet zokb role of Petrovietnam and BSR in ensuring energy security, industrial development, and sustainable growth of 188bet zokb country.
